Abstract

After a brief survey of the frequency of the solar eclipses recorded in the Chūngbo munhŏn pigo, the data were recomputed to verify their authenticity. This paper successfully delineated 72 series of solar eclipses from the given data. When the data were compared to the series thus established, 39 of the total 387 solar eclipses were found faulty in one way or another. The correction of the errors of these data was attempted.
